What: Juneteenth Celebrathion
Where: Caseyville Public Library District
When: Saturday, June 21st 12pm-2pm
Celebrate Juneteenth at Caseyville Library with author, Katie Otey and guests. Our special guests will read stories about Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day. Learn about the origin of the holiday and honor the history and heroes behind the day.
This event is for children and families of all ages.

What: Life-Size Candy Land
Where: Caseyville Public Library District
When: Thursday, July 10th 5:30-7:30pm
Play Life-Size Candy Land with your friends and family at Caseyville Library! You're the game piece and you get to visit the different candy realms of the Candy Kingdom! Win candy and prizes as you hit certain spots and race to Candy Castle. The Library will also have other candy-themed games, crafts, and play activities set throughout the library for a fun-filled Candy Land night! Register below!

What: Fuzzy Friends Sleepover
Where: Caseyville Public Library District
When: Friday, July 25th 5:30-7:30 & Saturday July 26th 9am-10am
At 6pm on Friday, kids come in pajamas and bring their Fuzzy Friend to the library for an evening of stories, fun activities, and snacks with their special friends before all the Fuzzy Friends spend the night at the library!
At 9am on Saturday, kids and their adults come back to the library to get their fuzzy friends and see all the mischievous activities their fuzzy friend was up to after the library lights turned off! A light breakfast will be provided to children and their adults.
This program is targeted toward early childhood and elementary school age children and their families.
What: Sensory Saturdays with Esther Comfort Dog
Where: Caseyville Public Library District
When: 2nd Saturdays of the Month
Welcome to Sensory Saturdays: a pleasant sensory experience at Caseyville Library aimed for neurodiverse individuals and families of all ages.

Sorytime & Songs starts at 10:30am

Each 2nd Saturday the library will featured dimmed lighting, lower volume, sensory activities, themed story times, arts & crafts.

Sensory aid backpacks equipped with tools and aids like sunglasses, headphones, stimming tools, and visual communication supports are also available for in-library use and checkout.

Esther the Comfort Dog will also be available to be read to. Reading to pets boosts reading confidence and curbs reading anxiety.

Our first Teen Advisory & Volunteer Group meeting is Thursday, June 5th at 6pm. Our Teen Advisory Group is for 12-18 year-olds who love reading, libraries, or helping the community. We will discuss ideas for events and summer volunteer opportunities at the library.
